Saints get Trampled by Bison
Siena lost its fourth straight to start the season as they were run out of the gym by Bucknell 115-92. The Bison controlled the game from the tip and raced out to a 20 point lead at the half.
Bucknell shot the lights out, shooting 61.1% from the field and 50% from 3. Although the Saints shot 47.8% themselves, they failed to defend without fouling. Siena sent the Bison to the line 45 times, where they converted on 36 of their attempts.
Offensively, the Saints were led by junior captain Nico Clareth who finished with 21 points and a career-high 6 assists. Freshman Roman Penn contributed 14 points and 4 rebounds off the bench. Ahsante Shivers and Evan fisher added 13 points apiece. Freshman guard Christian Bentley saw the first significant minutes of his career and led the Saints with 6 boards.
The Saints return home to the Times Union Center on Saturday, November 25 for a 2pm tip against Hofstra.
